I no longer raise Mini Lop rabbits. Someday I may get back into it but I am going back to school full time, working and trying to start up a farm. I am keeping my rabbitry name and keeping it registered for a few years. I may get back into raising rabbits again just not right now. I've left this page up for information purposes only. I will have a link to my current farm website soon.
My Wonderful Mini lops!
Here at Honeysuckle Rabbitry, located in the beautiful state of Maine, we strictly breed high quality Mini Lop rabbits. We only focus on one breed and give it our all. In the future we may add other breeds but are devoting at least a few years to just this breed. Our main focuses are on quality, personality and color. Our aim is to have great stock that matches the description of the ARBA Standard of Perfection as much as possible in a wide variety of rich colors. Our long term goal is to compete at the national level. It will take a few years to get to that level though. Got an awful lot of work, and a lot more learning to do before we can do that.
It is a wonderful challange to raise rabbits for showing. It's not easy trying to match which buck and which doe will produce the best babies. You never really know what you are going to get with a litter. It is both fun and exciting and sometimes hairpullingly frustrating. Overall the rewards of having wonderful personality bunnies, meeting new friends at shows and competing with them are great. So whether you are an experienced breeder looking to add a couple lop rabbits to your herd, someone looking for a new pet, or just browsing the site, please feel free to look around.
